The Murray State University Theatre Arts program is proud to present Oliver Wilde鈥檚 classic play, 鈥淭he Importance of Being Earnest鈥� on Thursday-Saturday, November 4-6, at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, November 7 at 2:30 p.m. in the Robert E. Johnson Theatre on Murray State鈥檚 campus.
Murray State University students are encouraged to begin forming a plan and meeting with their academic advisor as registration is open for the upcoming winter term, and will be opening soon for the Spring 2022 semester. The winter term runs from December 13 through January 5. Spring 2022 semester registration opens beginning the week of November 1. The Spring 2022 semester at Murray State will begin on January 18.

The Murray State University Department of Art & Design and the University Galleries are pleased to present the 2021 Annual Art Auction. The art auction is a scholarship fundraiser that showcases talented faculty, students, alumni, and local artists. Works from multiple artistic disciplines will be available to purchase. Proceeds from the auction go to support Murray State University鈥檚 Department of Art & Design majors鈥� scholarships.
Emergent SocialScapes, an exhibit of photographs by Dr. Diane Sabenacio Nititham, associate professor of sociology at Murray State University, is on display at the Murray Art Guild (MAG) through Saturday, October 30. A reception for the exhibit will be held at MAG on Friday, October 22 from 5-6:30 p.m. The exhibit and reception are open to the public.
The 12th annual A Taste of the Arts fundraising gala will be held Thursday, October 21 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Murray Room of the CFSB Center. A Taste of the Arts showcases the many talents of Murray State University students in Art & Design, Music, and Theatre Arts while providing fine dining and a live auction for attendees. The event gathers Murray State supporters and alumni along with community members to celebrate excellence in the fine arts at the University.
Murray State University will welcome alumna Alyson Van Hooser to campus on November 4 as part of its annual First-Generation Celebration. The event will take place from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. that day in the Curris Center Ballroom.
