MURRAY, Ky. – Dr. Donna Crouch, director of Murray State University’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) program, is the recipient of the Postsecondary Professional of the Year award for the Kentucky Association of Career and Technical Education (KACTE).
Crouch has been at Murray State for five years, serving as an assistant professor in special education before taking over as director of the CTE program.
Dr. Kemaly Parr, department chair of Adolescent, Career and Special Education (ACS), said it’s an honor for the ACS department that Dr. Crouch received this prestigious award.
“I am very thankful for Donna's hard work and diligence for the CTE program,” Parr said.
Crouch was notified during the first week of July that she was this year’s recipient and said she had to tell her friends and family immediately.
“To me, it was a very big deal to be named the Postsecondary Professional of the Year for KACTE,” Crouch said.
Crouch shared that the recognition reflects the impact of her hard work and networking on behalf of CTE teachers across the state, and it motivates her to continue pushing herself to do even more in the coming year.
